Who are we?
We started as 2 Students in 2022 that matriculated in 2021. Our goal is to help all students overcome the academic hurdles created by the Covid-19 pandemic. The impact of the pandemic was felt throughout every grade, we believe that we are well positioned to guide students through this as we have navigated the same path. We have now grown into a team of diverse tutors, each with their own strengths and teaching style ready to help students grow their accademic success. All tutors matriculated as part of the top achievers of their year and aim to help others do the same. We have built ourselves around the core belief that with the right guidance everyone will reach greatness.
Why us?
The Pandemic had a severe impact on Education and traditional learning. It thus became imperative for students to adapt and implement new teaching and learning methods. Accordingly, peer learning/teaching was utilised with successful results. We found that students who were recently successful in a grade were best poised to explain/teach other students, as they not only understood the material but also understood the areas where most difficulty was experienced and were able to dedicate more time and detail to said areas. As students who completed matric in 2021 with 98% in Mathematics and 97% in Physics, we bring a wealth of knowledge and understanding of the correct syllabus. We are able to map out a beneficial teaching and study strategy and help you on your path to excellence.
What do our students think?
I have been very impressed by the quality of tuition provided by Strider and Rohan. Their teaching methods are thorough and easy to understand, and they are both incredibly patient. They make sure that the topics covered are fully understood and that extra support is provided for problem areas, followed by consolidating homework. The classes are enjoyable and helpful, and have made me feel confident for my matric year.
The True Tutor provides excellent lessons with well developed structure and content. All lessons are conducted professionally and patiently. The tutors maintain a pace suited to my best needs and do not mind when topics need to be recovered. All lessons allow for reconsolidation and revision which improved my understanding of the topics covered.
